Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Tianmen Mountain Adventure
- Morning: Arrive at Zhangjiajie West Railway Station or Hehua Airport, then head straight to Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park. Take the world’s longest mountain cableway (30 minutes) to the summit . Walk the West Line Glass Plank Road (shoe cover fee required) for panoramic cliff views.
- Afternoon: Hike the 999 stone steps to Tianmen Cave (or take the through-mountain elevator as an alternative) . Admire the natural archway and take photos with the winding mountain road below.
- Evening: Dine on local "Sanxiaguo" (spicy hot pot) near the cableway station, then visit the illuminated 72 Qilou for a taste of Tujia architecture .
Day 2: Zhangjiajie National Forest Park (Core Spots)
- Morning: Enter via Wulingyuan Ticket Station, take the sightseeing bus to Yuanjiajie. Explore Avatar-inspired "Hallelujah Mountains" (Qiankun Pillar) and the natural "World’s First Bridge" .
- Afternoon: Visit Tianzi Mountain to see scenic spots like "Imperial Brush Peak" and "Fairy Scattering Flowers". Return to Wulingyuan and stroll around Xibu Street for Tujia snacks .
