Zhangjiajie National Forest Park (Golden Whip Stream – start with a relaxing walk; then take the cable car to Huangshi Village and visit “Looking at the Beauty from a Distance” rock formation)
Day2

Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park (Tianmen Cave – climb the 999 steps for a sense of achievement; explore the Tianmen Mountain Temple, a historic Buddhist site)
Day3

Fenghuang Ancient Town (A 2.5-hour drive from Zhangjiajie; wander the ancient stone streets, cross the Tuojiang River via wooden stilt bridges, and watch the sunset over the town’s traditional houses)
Day4

Fenghuang Ancient Town (Visit Fenghuang Museum to learn about local history; experience Tujia ethnic culture at a traditional song-and-dance show before returning to Zhangjiajie)
