A Day Trip to Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park

Morning: Travel to downtown Zhangjiajie and visit Tianmenshan National Forest Park (entrance fee included) , Zhangjiajie's second National Forest Park, known as the world's most beautiful hanging garden and celestial wonderland. Tianmenshan , with its unique karst landforms, forms a beautiful pristine hanging garden, home to numerous natural and man-made wonders, and is hailed as a new legend in beautiful Zhangjiajie. Experience the thrill of soaring through the clouds on the world's longest cableway ( 7.5 kilometers , 28 minutes one-way ), overlooking the cliffs, canyons, and Tongtian Avenue. The cableway journey takes 28 minutes to the summit. Then, explore the 60- meter-long Glass Plank Walk ( shoe covers included) , known as the "Eastern Sky Road," located on the west side of the mountaintop, reaching a peak of 1,430 meters above sea level . Walk the Guigu Plank Road, challenging your sense of "dare"; experience the mysteries of the art of vertical and horizontal learning; then take the Forest Sightseeing Cable Car to the highest point of Tianmen Mountain , Yunmeng Fairy Peak , for a panoramic view of Zhangjiajie City . Then, via the Davidia involucrata Garden , take the world's longest mountain escalator directly to Tianmen Cave . This natural mountain-penetrating cave, 131.5 meters high, 57 meters wide, and 60 meters deep, resembles a gateway to heaven. Legend has it that it's the "Gateway to the Immortal Realm," and when shrouded in mist, it resembles a fairyland. Descend the mountain by escalator (escalator ticket included ) , or take the 999 - step ladder down to Tianmen Cave Square. Then, take the cable car and transfer to an eco-friendly bus for the descent.
